CHI HAIR STRAIGHTENER HELP?

I have a CHI pink breat cancer hair straightner and my hair id hard to straighten… when i get it straight it will start to flip at the bottom… any tips on how to keep it straight? Thats why it flips. When you go to salon, just have them cut into the ends.
